Who We Are

TW Perry is one of the leading building materials suppliers in the mid-Atlantic, serving the Washington, DC and Baltimore areas and outlying suburbs. We supply lumber, building materials, doors and windows, hardware, decking and railing products,paint, and power tools. We also offer a wide selection of millwork products, including more than 250 in-stock moulding profiles as well as special order products. We credit our success to establishing loyal customers who understand the added value and partnership that our services and products bring their business, as well as our enthusiastic, customer service focused employees. We are a privately held veteran-owned company; our owners work in our business everyday.  Our next-day delivery of in-stock materials helps building and remodeling contractors manage their jobsite logistics and schedules.

TW Perry stores are located in Baltimore, Maryland; Chevy Chase, Maryland; Gaithersburg, Maryland; Leesburg, Virginia; and Springfield, Virginia. Our Design Studio is located in Annapolis, Maryland. Edward J. Quinn Jr.

Chairman as well as the principal shareholder of TW Perry. Ed joined TW Perry as a consultant to Tom Perry Jr. in 1995 when the "big box retailers" threatened the viability of the company founded by Mr. Perry's father in 1911. In 1999, Ed led a management group buy-out of the company that led to the restructuring of TW Perry with a focus on the sale of the building materials to remodelers and homebuilders. As Chairman and CEO, Ed is responsible for the strategic vision of the company including its geographical market area and its financial well-being. Prior to joining TW Perry, Ed managed a turn around management practice for 25 years, working with owners of manufacturing firms, distribution companies, and service businesses. Ed has a BA degree in Economics from Providence College and an MBA in Finance and Investment from American University. Ed currently serves on the following corporate boards: UNIFI Group, Acacia Life Insurance Company, Calvert Group, Ltd., Thos. Somerville Co., Monument Bank and The Ernest Maier, Co. In addition, Ed serves on several charitable organization boards: The Yellow Ribbon Fund, The Acacia Foundation and The Providence College Business School Board of Advisors.


Gary Bowman

CEO based in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Gary has been in the building industry since 1979; holding positions at TW Perry as the General Manager of the Gaithersburg store, Vice President Materials Management and Vice President of Corporate Development. In his current role, Gary oversees the design and deployment of the companys IT infrastructure; develops, trains and monitors company business processes to improve customer service, and build an overall culture of continuous improvement at TW Perry. Gary holds an MBA from Frostburg State University and a bachelors degree in economics from The University of Maryland; he also has a Certificate of Executive Management from Wharton School of Business. Gary is an avid runner, recently finishing the Marine Corps marathon. He resides in Rockville, Maryland with his wife two daughters and their pet Pembroke Corgi.


Doug Kelly

Vice President of Sales and Marketing based in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Doug started at TW Perry as a Contractor Sales Representative in 1997 and soon was promoted as the Gaithersburg Sales Manager. He has also worked for 84 Lumber Company; where his jobs have included Contractor Sales Representative, Management Trainee, Co-Manager & Store Manager. In his current role, his responsibilities include: Sales Team Management and Development; Customer Relationship Development; Industry Activities; Brand Awareness; and Sales and Marketing Initiatives. Doug continuously attends industry related trainings and has received certified trainings from Wharton Essentials of Management Program and Darden Financial Management; in addition he received the 1998 TW Perry Employee of the Year. Doug has worked in the building industry for 29 years. He currently resides in New Market, Maryland and is married with five sons. In his spare time, Doug enjoys going fishing on the Chesapeake.


Mike Moore

Vice President of Materials Management based in Gaithersburg, Maryland; his responsibilities include oversight of; Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Store Operations and TW Perrys Green Building Initiative. Mike has worked in the building industry for 25 years and began his career with TW Perry in 2000 as the General Manager of the Springfield lumber yard; following the companys purchase of WT Galliher & Bro. He attended Virginia Tech and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Forestry. Mike resides in Virginia with his wife Karol and their daughter Ella.


Eddie Quinn

Eddie Quinn recently joined TW Perry as an Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.  Prior to joining TW Perry, Eddie was the President of the wholesale division of Constellation, an Exelon Company, where he oversaw portfolio management and dispatch activities for Exelon’s generation fleet and retail businesses.  Eddie held a variety of sales and management roles at Constellation during his fourteen years at the firm.  He also worked for International Paper and Enron’s Pulp and Paper business.  He has an MBA from Fuqua School of Business, Duke University and an Economics Degree from Boston College.  He serves on the board of the San Miguel School in Washington DC and resides in Bethesda with his wife, Meghan, and four daughters.


Chris S. Gray

Director of Architectural Sales based in Jessup, Maryland. Chris has been with TW Perry since the purchase of his company Classic Moulding & Door in 2005; prior to Classic he was the General Manager of Decorative Woods Lumber & Moulding. Chris has 28 years in the building industry. In his current position, Chris is responsible for oversight of sales, service and manufacturing of architectural products; and has the capabilities for design and development of specialty manufactured products. Chris has a degree in Architecture from the University of Idaho; he also has certified training from Andersen Windows, Peachtree Windows, International Wood Products and UnRoute3. He received the Focal Point Specialist of the Year award in 1994 and in 2008 received special recognition in ProSales magazine for the Facility Design Award. When hes not working, Chris enjoys spending time tinkering in his garage. Chris lives with his wife and two boys in Baltimore County, Maryland.


Sean Parker

Director of Operations based in Gaithersburg, Maryland. He started at TW Perry in 1997 as the Chevy Chase Yard Manager and was transferred to Gaithersburg store 6 months later. Sean was promoted to Operations Manager and then to Vice President of Operations. Sean has been working in the building industry for 25 years; prior to TW Perry he worked for 84 Lumber Company. In his current role, Sean is responsible for operations in Chevy Chase, Springfield, and Leesburg; he ensures orders are complete and deliveries are on time. Sean also works closely with the sales and store teams, helping grow sales and improve procedures. Sean has a BA in Business from the University of Maryland. Outside of work, he enjoys coaching his daughters soccer teams. Sean lives in Gaithersburg, Maryland with his wife and three daughters. 


Jimmy McClay

Vice President of Operations based in Gaithersburg, Maryland. In his 11 years at TW Perry he has held various positions: Assistant Yard Manager, Yard Manager, Operations Manager and Director of Transportation and Safety. He has also worked at 84 Lumber as a manager. Jimmy is currently responsible for oversight of yard and delivery operations at Gaithersburg and Baltimore; and oversight of the companys DOT and Transportation; he heads TW Perrys Safety Program and Co-Chairman of the Safety Committee; he also assists TW Perrys custom door and millwork location with their operational needs. Jimmy is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a BA in American Studies.


Elisa Kerneklian

Director of Human Resources, based in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Elisa started at TW Perry in 1999 as the Human Resource Manager. She has also worked for the Chevy Chase Bank for 16 years; her positions included: Bank Teller, Human Resources Generalist and Manager of Credit Card Training. Currently, at TW Perry, Elisa is responsible for the administration of human resource policies, programs and practices, including planning, organizing, developing, implementing, coordinating and directing. She is also responsible for formulating policies and procedures for the Human Resources Department and recommending policies and practices to other members of Senior Management. Elisa is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a Bachelors of Science in Economics. Elisa is a native Washingtonian and resides in Silver Spring, Maryland.


Brian Grafton

Consulting Vice President of Sales and an Outside Contractor Sales Representative based in Leesburg, Virginia. Brian has been an Outside Contractor Sales Rep. since 1986; starting at WT Galliher & Bro. until TW Perry purchased the company in 2000. Brian is responsible for his sales team of three, managing their current accounts and establishing new business. In his spare time he enjoys attending his daughter and son's sporting events. Brian resides with his family in Roundhill, Virginia.


Nila Narang

Vice President, Controller and Treasurer, based in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Nila started at TW Perry in 1984 in Chevy Chase as a part time accounting clerk. Nila earned her CPA from the State of Maryland in 2001, and she holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Accounting) from Sydanhm College in Bombay, India and Juris Doctorate (Law) from KC College in Bombay, India; her native Country. Nila assumes the lead role in regards to financial reporting, forecast preparation, and tax planning in addition to her pre-existing responsibilities associated with leadership of the Accounting and Administrative Team. Nila lives with her husband in Frederick, MD and has three children and one grandchild.


Mike Riegel

Director of Training, based in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Mike was hired by Tom Perry, Jr. in 1995 to work on the sales counter at the Chevy Chase store. He quickly moved into inside sales where he established strong partnerships with customers for over 8 years before transitioning into his present role. Mike currently oversees the training program and personally guides the training of every salesperson that joins the company. He also assists in process development and the coding of custom reports and database applications that help the company track results and respond to customer needs. Mike graduated from the University of Maryland University College with a Bachelor of Science in Management and Technology. He lives in Mount Airy, MD where he volunteers with several community organizations. In his spare time he enjoys relaxing with his family, working on home improvement projects, and spending time in the great outdoors.


Carrie White

Carrie White is the Virginia Director of Sales, working out of our Springfield, VA location. Carrie began her TWP career in 1999 at the age of 17, starting as a dispatch office administrator at our corporate headquarters in Gaithersburg. In 2001, Carrie was chosen to become a sales coordinator for one of the top 3 sales teams in the company at our Springfield, VA branch. Following 3 years as a coordinator, Carrie moved to an outside sales position in 2004 where she grew and maintained one of the top account volumes in the company. After 10 years as an outside salesperson, Carrie was promoted to the position of Revenue Sales Manager at our Springfield branch in 2014, with oversight of the Springfield sales team while maintaining sales to her customer base. Today, Carrie’s responsibilities as the Virginia Director of Sales include the oversight and development of sales personnel in our Virginia locations, sales coaching, business development, and customer relations management. Carrie resides in Haymarket Virginia with her husband of 8 years, Dan, and their two children Sydney and Evan. Carrie enjoys spending her free time with her family, watching live music, and visiting the beach.


Tim Giles

Tim Giles is the Director of Sales for Maryland based in Gaithersburg, Maryland.  Tim started with TW Perry in 2000 working behind the contractor sales counter. In his 15 years he has held several roles including Dispatcher, Purchasing Agent, Inside Sales Coordinator, Outside Sales and Sales manager in Gaithersburg. As Director of Sales Tim's has regional responsibilities including Sales Team Management and Development; Customer Relationship Development; Industry Activities; Brand Awareness for Maryland.  Tim attended The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and the University of Maryland University College earning his degree in Business Management. Tim resides in Bethesda with his wife and three children. In his spare time he enjoys playing golf, following college basketball and watching his kids play sports.
